Dream Circle

currently dream circle is on pause

Have you ever wondered, “Why wasn’t I given a map to traverse this cosmic soup bowl thing called being Human?” Or, perhaps, you’ve noticed the hand-me-down version “how-to” from our parents and society just hasn’t sufficed, if at all, it has mostly ceased to justify or provide lasting meaning to the suffering you’ve endured throughout your trials and tribulations? We’ve been carrying the map within all along! Dreams have been noted cross-culturally for a millennia to hold profound significance. In dream circle you can anticipate candid conversation, educational material, along with simple and practical tools to contact your dream world/psyche-soul duo, through the frameworks of Analytical Psychology’s founding father, Carl Jung, a Swiss psychoanalyst. Join me for all or a few, dream circles happening every Monday for the next 6 weeks in Utah County at 6:30pm. Expect a small, intimate, very beginner friendly atmosphere; where we’ll slowly transition into dream images and symbols, after opening the circle up with kindred acquaintanceships such as somatic exercises, movement, drumming, singing, laughing, story-telling, and light snacks. DO NOT be intimidated; this is very casual and lighthearted. With approaching territory such as the unconscious, It’s important to recognize the possibility of kicking up “psychic debris”, or trauma. As a Somatic Experiencing Practioner in training and an Apprentice Midwife, I come prepared with a trauma-informed, body-oriented perspective, as contribution to the containment of what may come to the surface spontaneously.

Carl Jung has spoken to this,

in his own words, “One never knows what one may be releasing when one begins to analyse dreams. Something deeply buried and invisible may thereby be set in motion, very probably something that would have come to light sooner or later anyway—but again, it might not. It is as if one were digging an artesian well and ran the risk of stumbling on a volcano.” My aim is to pay close attention to the inner-resources available within the group at a nervous system level so we can maintain joyous curiosity as we tread lightly into the images and symbols of the unconscious. Collaboration and creativity are encouraged while we lean into re-membering the parts, pieces and voices within. PS, between now and Monday record or write a dream down as you wake up.. or bring an oldie, as dreams never expire! Looking forward to communing with you!!!
With love,
Jes
